Victory for Under 15s in the Fusion League

Essex Open 56 – 35 Brookshaw Stuart

Essex Open U15s continued their impressive Fusion League campaign with a convincing 56–35 home victory against Brookshaw Stuart in their third league fixture.

Essex started the match in dominant fashion, applying pressure across the court, disrupting the opposition’s attacking play and forcing turnovers. They capitalised on these opportunities to take an early 17–9 lead at the end of the first quarter.

The second quarter saw Essex maintain their momentum, converting turnovers into goals consistently while remaining strong defensively. Their competitive work through the midcourt and defensive third made life difficult for Brookshaw, forcing errors and slowing down their attacking transitions. Essex extended their advantage to 30–17 at half-time.

Essex stepped up another gear in the third quarter, increasing both the intensity and speed of their play. Their attacking combinations continued to work effectively, while their defensive pressure restricted Brookshaq’s opportunities. With Essex firmly in control, the opposition made several player changes in an attempt to find a way to counter Essex’s game. However, Essex continued to dominate, taking the score to 46–23 heading into the final quarter.

With a comfortable lead established, Essex used the final quarter as an opportunity to rotate players and experiment with different combinations, while continuing to manage the game confidently. They finished deserved winners with an impressive 56–35 victory.
