Essex Open U13 blue v Aspire pearl
29-5 to Essex Open

It took us a while to get settled in the first quarter but once
the quarter had finished, we knew how our opposition
played which meant we could get stuck in the game. The
quarter finished with Essex taking the lead of 5-0.

In the second quarter we started to get the hang of the
game with a score of 12-3. Attack was working hard to play
the ball into the shooting circle. Our movement was very
good we dodged to get rid of our players and came forward
to receive the ball and passing back to defence to reset
when needed.

In the Third quarter our defence was very strong, and our
shooting was on point. I think the best part of that quarter
was when every time it was our centre, we got the ball to
the circle edge so we could give it in to savannah who held
behind her player to receive the ball in zone 2 and then
score. The end of this quarter the score was 22-5 to Essex
Open.

In the last quarter we stayed sharp and continued getting
our shots in. The defence did very well making sure aspire
didn’t score.
Savannah did brilliantly in the D putting her shots up and
getting the goals we needed to win. She was strong when
holding and all in all put in a lot of effort. Kiki played an amazing game as goalkeeper. She went for
every ball and got many interceptions making our
opposition reluctant to give the over ball. She also went for
every loose ball that either Aspire or we dropped and
made sure she got it.

Overall, we had an amazing game. Everyone worked hard
and we got a well-deserved win of 29-5.

Special mention to coaches’ player Kiki and players player
Savannah
