Maroon Team
The U14 Maroon squad had a fantastic 2024/25 season, demonstrating their growth, talent, and competitive spirit. They finished 2nd in the U16 Essex Metropolitan League and qualified for the U14 Regional League, proving their ability to compete above their age group. Highlights included winning gold for Redbridge at the London Youth Games, competing in the ENG YNPL for a second year, and making a strong run in the SnS Knock Out Cup—building on last year’s 3rd-place finish in the Plate. Tournament successes included 1st at Fusion and 2nd at both the Essex Open and Sabina Tournaments. Looking ahead to 2025/26, the Maroons will step up from U13 to U16, continuing in the Essex Met League, entering the U13 Magic Invitational League, and returning to SnS. Their progression is a testament to their hard work, ambition, and team unity.
Blue Team
The Essex Open Blues B Team enjoyed a positive and productive 2024/25 season, showing excellent development, commitment, and teamwork throughout the year. Competing in the Essex Metropolitan League, the squad continued to build confidence and experience, demonstrating significant progress both individually and collectively.
The season provided valuable opportunities for players to develop their skills in a competitive environment while strengthening team chemistry and understanding on the court. Through hard work, dedication, and a positive attitude, the Blues consistently rose to challenges and continued to improve as the season progressed.
Looking ahead to 2025/26, the Essex Open Blues will continue their journey in the Essex Metropolitan League, aiming to build on this year’s achievements and further their development. With a strong foundation in place, the team is excited for the opportunities ahead and remains focused on continuing to grow, compete, and enjoy their basketball together.
