The Essex Open 6th Team enjoyed an impressive and memorable season last year, earning a well-deserved promotion from Division 8 after delivering a string of strong, consistent performances. Throughout the campaign, the team demonstrated resilience, skill, and a growing sense of unity on court—qualities that ultimately saw them rise above the competition and secure their spot in a more competitive division.

Building on that momentum, the squad has used the off-season to further strengthen its lineup, welcoming several new players who bring a combination of talent, versatility, and fresh perspectives. These additions have not only increased the team’s depth but have also contributed to a renewed energy in training sessions and pre-season fixtures, helping the group gel quickly ahead of the new campaign.

With this revitalised setup, the 6th Team is now turning its attention to Division 7, approaching the season with clear intent and ambition. The goal is not just to consolidate their position, but to challenge for the top of the table and compete for the title. There’s a strong belief within the squad that continued growth, hard work, and a focused mindset will drive further success.
