A fantastic 22–21 WIN against Leyton Lions Red

The girls showed incredible determination and teamwork in a closely fought match that went right down to the final whistle!

1st quarter: 7–2

2nd quarter: 12–8

3rd quarter: 16–15

4th quarter: 22–21

After a strong start, the opposition fought back, setting up a tense final quarter. With just five minutes remaining, we found ourselves one goal down, but the girls kept their composure and continued to fight for every ball. A brilliant interception by Hannah M brought us back to a draw, and the team pushed on right until the final whistle to secure a brilliant 22–21 victory!

It was fantastic to see the girls putting Thursday’s training into practice, particularly their driving into space and changing direction. There were some great passages of play and plenty of positives to take away from this performance.

A real team effort, with everyone showing resilience, determination and a never-give-up attitude when it mattered most. So proud of the girls and how they battled until the very end!
