Essex Open Blues U12s vs AP Saints

From the first whistle, this was a closely contested game with both teams showing excellent skill and composure on court.

AP Saints made a flying start, taking an early 9–2 lead at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter saw Saints extend their advantage, but Essex never backed down — they kept fighting, working hard to build their play and create shooting opportunities.

The third quarter proved challenging as AP Saints pulled away, and unfortunately Essex were unable to add to their score. What shone through more than anything, though, was the team’s incredible spirit — they stayed united, encouraged one another, and refused to let the score affect their togetherness.

Entering the final quarter, the gap was large, but the girls gave absolutely everything. They continued to move the ball calmly and deliberately, finding their shooters and pushing for every goal. At the final whistle, the score stood at AP Saints 28 – 9 Essex Open Blues.

While the result didn’t go our way, there was so much to be proud of. It was wonderful to see new players step onto court, grow in confidence, and make a real impression.
