We had a strong start against Brentwood, finishing the first quarter with a 16 -10 lead. The team
worked well together, with some great feeds in to our shooters and accurate shooting.
We continued to build on our lead in the second quarter, scoring 14 goals to Brentwood’s 11,
taking us into half-time with a 30-21 lead.
The third quarter was more challenging. Brentwood came back strongly, and although we
continued to work hard and create opportunities, we lost the quarter 9 -15, leaving the score at 39
– 36 going into the final quarter.
The final quarter was a close and competitive battle. We kept fighting and showed great
determination, but Brentwood managed to finish the game strongly. The final score was
Brentwood 49 – 47
Although it wasn’t the result we wanted, there were plenty of positives to take from the game.
The team showed great effort, worked well together and never gave up, right through to the final
whistle.
