Maroon Team
The Essex Open U13 Maroons are a formidable and ambitious group of 13-year-old athletes aiming to compete at the highest level for their age group. With a strong desire to improve and win big, the team blends players from school, club, and County netball backgrounds. Everyone stands tall and contributes, creating a highly competitive environment where confidence is growing. After narrowly missing out on ENG YNPL qualifiers in the 24/25 season, they’ve reset with determination for the 25/26 campaign. In 24/25, they reached the SnS Finals and placed in the top half of the U12 Essex Met League—despite playing an age group up. Now, with their eyes on the U14 league, what may seem cheeky to some is simply a reflection of their bold ambition. They have plenty to learn, but their appetite for knowledge is undeniable.
Blue Team
The Essex Open U13 Blues are a talented squad who combine a love of netball with a hunger to achieve big things. As the club’s second U13 team, they bring energy, enthusiasm, and a real sense of enjoyment to both training and competition.
The Blues are ambitious and determined to keep pushing forward. They love taking part in tournaments and testing themselves against new opposition, and this season they have their sights set on climbing to the middle of the table in the Essex Met League.
Excitingly, 25/26 will also see the Blues step into their very first Sisters n Sport Cup, giving them the chance to showcase their skills on a bigger stage. With their team spirit, commitment, and growing experience, this group is ready to make their mark.
