Maroon Team
With aspirations on securing a place in the highest level of competition for their age group, the Essex Open U12 Maroon team are a formidable group of players. This group want to get better, they want to win and win big!
The team comprises a mixture of athletes age 10 to 12. Some playing school and club netball and others adding County netball into the mix. Everyone stands tall and holds their own, it’s a very competitive team and they are growing in confidence.
Having narrowly missed out on ENG YNPL qualifiers during the 24/25 season, they’ve reset and are ready to go again for the 25/26 season.
The team made it to the Sisters n Sport Finals and placed in the top half of the U12 Essex Met League in 24/25 (playing an age up), they’ve got their sights set on conquering the U14 league – some might say that’s cheeky. We think it’s simple ambition.
With lots to learn but, there is an abundant appetite for knowledge.
Blue Team
Champions of the Essex Met U11 League 24/25.
The team dominated the league and swept all other teams aside, convincingly.
This team are winners and they win well!
With a mix of new and existing members, the team were able to integrate quickly and navigate the complexities of team dynamics to win the league. Demonstrating strength and depth within the squad, players have been given opportunities to play in the Maroons and ultimately some were identified as ready to join the Maroons, without the move being detrimental to the Blues, testament to the quality of players in the team.
Looking ahead to 25/26 with the added competition in the Sisters n Sport League, the Blues intend to continue their dominance, continue to build, learn and thoroughly enjoy their netball.
