Overall I think the game showed our improved performance. Our stage 3 defence focused on delaying and slowing down Starz through mid-court, trying to force them back up the court. I personally think that Jess did the best defending today. She blocked her attackers really hard and I could see them also struggling.

Our first quarter against Starz was impeccable, supported by the score line of 6-5 in the lead.

Starz is currently top 4 in this league which showed by their performance, ultimately proving too difficult for us today. We started so strong, but didn’t settle well into the game and maybe we stopped trying as hard as we should have done.

We did our very best and we look forward to more tough matches in this performance league.
