The U16 regional squad took on a newly formed Sonic Booms squad at the weekend.  The team started poorly throwing away several passes but managed to regroup, despite an early injury blow.  The team took the first quarter 10-8.  The second quarter started just as badly as the first.  The centre court, despite their best efforts, struggled to get the ball into their shooters resulting in just 7 goals to Sonic Booms 12.  The team found themselves trailing by 3 goals at the half-time break.  A change in the shooting circle and attacking unit saw Essex back to playing some of their best netball.  The midcourt feed the shooters with ease, storming ahead and winning the third quarter 12-5.  The final quarter was slightly more contested ending 18-17 but Essex never looked in doubt and closed the game out 47-42.  Umpires player Divine, Opposition player Ava-Marie & Trish
