U12 Maroons 23 – 10 Essex Wanderers Opal

The U12 Maroons started their third game of the season where they left off from the second game.

The Maroons started the game with two quick goals.
They were strong in defence turning balls over and making good use of it in attack. The quarter ended 7 – 2.

The second quarter saw more of the same. To find a way around the oppositions height advantage, the Maroons had to avoid loopy passes by cutting infront and driving towards. At the halfway mark the score was 14 – 5.

The third and fourth quarters followed the same pattern however the mid court and attack started to make unnecessary mistakes by making wrong pass choices as tiredness started to kick in.

The Maroons held strong and comfortably won the game 23 – 10.

Players of the match were Stella and Jess.
