Essex Open A secure comfortable win

Essex Open A  68 Manor A 25

This was another routine win for Essex as they made light work of their fixture with Manor A

Essex opened brightly  and created lots of chances for shooters Leah Hayzelden and Maddie Oshodi. With less than half of the first quarter gone, they enjoyed a 10 -4 lead .  Manor found it difficult to break down the defensive circle of Emma Shaw and Renée Hurley. With Jasmine Odeogberin , Johanne Linehan  and Rebecca Wilks dominating in the centre Court Essex remained in  control and at the end of the first quarter the score was 21-8.

In the second quarter Essex were even more dominant and managed to score a further 18 goals with Manor only managing to score 2 in reply. Nicole Alves had come on in the centre court and soon made an impact on the game.  At halftime the game was effectively over as Essex led 39-10.

Manor came back in the third quarter but Hayzelden and Oshodi continue to score freely and with a quarter to go Essex led 59-17 In the last quarter Johanne Linehan  took over as shooter from Maddie Oshodi and goals were not so easy to come by.

At the end of the game, Essex had enjoyed a comfortable 68-25 victory.
